Millions of Us and CW Network Launch Gossip Girl in Second Life
It’s official! At 2PM PST today we launched a project that we have been working on since May.
In partnership with Warner Brothers and the CW Network, we have created a virtual world complement to their new hit show, “Gossip Girl”, based on the popular series of books. We first created a short piece of machinima for the Upfronts, and then proceeded to build out 7 square blocks of New York’s Upper East Side, complete with show sets, Barney’s, and other iconic landmarks.
For the next week, we’ll have the city open for exploration, at which point we will start a very interesting social game that will take place in the city. Also, residents of Second Life who wish to become vendors on the Virtual Upper East Side are welcome to get in touch with us by sending email to emmaATmillionsofusDOTcom.
