I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours as a tween/teen rolling dice and moving lead miniatures around an acetate hex sheet. The sounds of birds and a lightening sky would tell my friends and I that we played all night long. But it wasn’t dice, or just a sheet of plastic. It was a story, a world in which I lived and shared with friends. Amazing how far virtual worlds have come. RIP EGG.

In the Sear’s Garage

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Sears has found their way into Second Life with the help of IBM. They’ve opened their doors here on the first day of CES. I am feeling cozy in the garage setup here. My friend Lyle would feel right at home!

Jan 5th Correction: Unfortunately, I was in a meeting so was AFK during the event. Nancy did not appear here yesterday, Representative George Miller did. Pelosi endorsed opening the congressional session this way. More about it here, here, here and here.

Virtual Whirls #1

Hey there. I’m Ted Tagami, relatively new to the Millions of Us team and thought I’d give you a quick intro. I work on the Business Development side of things, helping create the fun experiences that folks want to share and be involved in. There is a lot to see and do in Second Life. I hope to be able send updates of new places and people as I run across them in the Grid. If you see the guy with his hair on fire, that’s probably me.
